Tool tips · Assessing yourself
The five minutes on a Sunday that changes what you notice
A weekly check-in against the same ten domains, taken while you are actually coaching.
A weekly check-in across the same ten domains the Profiler uses.
When
Sunday, five minutes, in the middle of a season rather than away from it.
Why
It is the second opinion. The Profiler is how you rate yourself when you are calm; this is how you rate yourself when you are coaching.
The mistake most coaches make
Treating it as a repeat of the Profiler and trying to be consistent with what you said last time. It is not a test you can fail. The point is to catch the number you would give TODAY, which is a different and more honest number than the one you give in a calm twenty minutes in July.
Profiler, July
- ·Communication: 87
- ·Calm, no session for a fortnight
- ·How you coach at your best
Trends, November
- →Communication: 56
- →Third game in eight days
- →How you coach in a busy week
In practice
Where these two disagree by more than fifteen points, the product says so and shows both numbers rather than averaging them. A mean of 87 and 56 is 66, which describes no coach.
Coach Trends
Open it and try it on one session
You will not get anything out of a single entry, and that is the honest answer. Coach Trends is inside the platform. Setting up takes a couple of minutes and needs no payment details.
